Privacy & Cookies
FencingEvents.org (“we,” “us”) is a free directory of U.S. fencing tournaments and camps, owned and operated by Fenwick Holdings LLC. This page explains what information is involved when you use the site, how cookies and advertising work, and the choices you have.
Information we handle
You can browse FencingEvents.org without creating an account, and we do not ask you to register or log in. The event listings shown on the site are public information aggregated from AskFred and USA Fencing.
When you use the location search, the ZIP code or city you type is sent to a third-party geocoding service to convert it into map coordinates so we can sort events by distance. We do not tie these searches to your identity or store them against a profile.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) and our database provider (Supabase) automatically process basic technical data such as your IP address and request logs to operate the site securely and reliably.
Cookies & advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements, which helps keep the site free. Google and other third-party ad vendors may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to measure ad performance and, where permitted, personalize the ads you see. For more detail, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent regarding ad personalization and cookies before personalized ads are shown, in line with applicable law.
Analytics
We do not run our own advertising profile or sell personal data. Aggregate, non-identifying traffic information may be available to us through our hosting provider to understand overall site usage.
Children's privacy
Fencing is a youth-friendly sport and these listings are often used by parents. The site is not directed at collecting personal information from children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. Ads are configured to comply with applicable requirements; if you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.
Your choices
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of personalized ads using the links above. Disabling cookies will not stop you from using the site, though some ads may become less relevant.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves or as legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
